Hello! I'm Kyra

My journey started with graphic design and interactive media, but once I got into UI/UX, I knew I had found my niche. My first UX project, redesigning UCSB’s event platform, sparked my love for user-centered design and set me on a path of collaboration and innovation. Since then, I’ve worked on projects tackling everything from environmental equity to pet rehoming for seniors, always aiming to design solutions that are both meaningful and accessible. Whether I’m working on branding, marketing, or product design, I love blending creativity with strategy to make a real difference.

My Background

Creativity has always been a core part of who I am, from working on digital and product design projects to exploring hands-on art experiences. My time as a teacher’s assistant at Orfalea Children's Center and Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge gave me valuable experience working with kids, teaching me patience, adaptability, and the importance of designing with accessibility in mind.

My passion for design started with traditional art and grew into graphic design, leading me to work on branding, marketing, and UX projects

My Core Values

  • Environmental Equity – I believe in designing solutions that promote sustainability and accessibility, ensuring that everyone has the resources to make environmentally responsible choices.

  • Compassion & Empathy – Whether working with kids, designing for underserved communities, or improving user experiences, I prioritize understanding and addressing real human needs.

  • Equality & Inclusion – I believe in advocating for equal opportunities, ensuring that design and technology are accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, background, or ability.

  • Women's Health & Empowerment – I am passionate about supporting women’s health and well-being, using design as a tool to raise awareness, improve access to resources, and promote informed decision-making.
